The preparations of :DANISH+ have begun

(openPR) From 6-9 May 2012 the showcase :DANISH+ will take place in Aarhus, Denmark. This is the third time that the best Danish performing arts for a young audience are presented in English for theatre and festival directors and programmers from all over the world.

Right now :DANISH is working hard to find, select and book the 14-15 performances that are to be presented to the international audience. The only criterion is quality. All performances are Danish, but will be performed in English.

The program for 2012 is taking shape
:DANISH+ has already selected a number of exciting, challenging and unique performances to represent the originality of Danish performing arts for young audiences. International guests can look forward to experiencing Again by Aaben Dans, the internationally touring Odysseus by Gronnegade Teater and the new co- production between Teatret Gruppe 38 and Theatre Carte Blanch called A True Tall Tail. All performances are ready to tour internationally and are, as mentioned, given in English. Registration for the showcase opens on December 1st 2011.

The :DANISH+ conference
As in previous years, the second day of the showcase will offer a conference. For this part of the showcase :DANISH+ is cooperating with The Danish Cultural Institute in 11 countries, The British Council and LEGO Fonden, to present top speakers on topics like cultural and creative entrepreneurship and economy as well as children and culture in a digital society. :DANISH+ 2012 is supported by The Danish Arts Council and the municipality of Aarhus.
