The PC that you bought yesterday is already old today, and the technology will have been superseded tomorrow. Particularly in the control system area, the industry concentrates on innovative, competitive products,
creating a situation whereby components that are a little long in the tooth (and therefore also the relevant spare parts) are no longer available in sufficient quantities.
Of course, this development (which is actually a positive
one) also applies to the machinery and systems provided by Albrecht Bäumer. Whereas the mechanical components of Bäumer machinery are almost indestructible and will perform their task for many years, if not decades, the supply of spare electronic components can have a considerable effect on manufacturing reliability.

If particular reasons exist for not investing in a new machine, we can alternatively provide a retrofit package that is tailored to your requirements. We can make your old machine fit again for many more years, regardless of the model, with a partial or complete controller upgrade.

Horizontal/vertical cutting and splitting machines
For all conventional machinery, be it simple vertical cutting machines, complex horizontal splitting machines or longitudinal splitting machines of type BSV-E, we have an individual solution that also will safeguard your production reliability for years to come. From the simple replacement of an individual direct current drive to a full controller rebuild with complex servo technology and expensive displays - anything is possible.
During a retrofit of our vertical/ horizontal cutting and splitting machines there are also several modernisation options. During a partial rebuild the control panel or the servo drives are replaced, whereby both are modernised during a full rebuild. Compared to the procurement of spare parts, a complete rebuild has a considerably greater cost/benefit advantage.
Once you have been brought up to date, Bäumer guarantees a long and simple supply of spare parts with the new components.
Systems
Of course, that which applies to individual machines also applies to complex cutting lines and rack systems.
