quick select - unpacking made easy

11.07.201112:13 UhrIndustrie, Bau & Immobilien

(openPR) Once the cutting of a block of foam material or sheet stack has been completed on a contour cutting machine, the question arises as to which contour part belongs to which consignment or which part group.

Identical contours for a consignment can occur in different sheet stacks, and a sheet stack may contain different consignments. A consignment can consist of individual contours or part sets. The part groups contain different contours.
For optimum „nesting“ of the contours on the foam material sheets, WinCAP puts the contours together in an optimised way with regard to waste and production continuity, independently of the consignments and part sets. In order to locate the contours for a consignment again after cutting, WinCAP provides the „quick select“ feature to filter the contours according to commission number or also according to part groups. When the cut contours are being unpacked, the operator can label them at the vertical contour cutting machine. In order to help the operator, the cutting pattern of the sheet is displayed on a large screen.
This labelling affects all individual contours. However, not every contour part is given its own label - only the uppermost contour in the sheet stack is labelled before this contour stack is placed in the relevant consignment trolley.
A label like this can contain information such as the article number, the target and actual article quantities in the current sheet stack, and consignment number and part group details.

Unpacking aid

A diagram on a monitor that is installed behind the machine is intended to act as an unpacking aid, as is a graphical printout.
The graphical information for the currently cut sheet stack on an unpacking table can be called up by scanning the barcode on the sheet stack, by keying in the consignment number or by entering the program name in the unpacking table area.

Retrofits - breathing new life into old machinery
Technical progress is advancing in an unstoppable way and at everincreasing speed, opening up new, useful options for increasing efficiency and quality. The PC that you bought yesterday is already old today, and the technology will have been superseded tomorrow. Particularly in the control system area, the industry concentrates on innovative, competitive products, creating a situation whereby components that are a little long in the tooth (and therefore also the relevant spare parts) are no longer available in sufficient quantities. Of cour…
