AVANTAG Energy cooperating with Millennium Energy Industries

(openPR) Prospects for Roof Top Solar Power Installations Improving

On occasion of the two day “Arab Renewable Energy Conference” organized by Green Power Conference in Amman, Jordan (29-30 of November) Millennium Energy Industries and Avantag Energy announced a strategic partnership for the purpose of implementing roof mounted photovoltaic solar power projects in the Middle East region.

With the declining cost of PV systems, and the increase price of fuel, government and private sector sponsored projects are increasingly specifying photovoltaic systems for their projects. It is also anticipated that the regulatory framework in the Middle East will further stimulate the development of the renewable energy sector, which is challenged to compete due to the ongoing subsidy that is provided to conventional sources of electricity.

“We are seeing growing demand for roof mounted PV installations in the Middle East, and together with Millennium Energy Industries, that is a leader in industrial/commercial scale solar thermal solutions, we hope to leverage our European experience and capability for the benefit of the Middle East”, announced Christoph Rass, the managing director of the company. Avantag Energy has implemented a number of significant PV system projects in Europe, ranging in size from 100kw to 1000kw utilizing both crystalline and thin film panels.

Millennium Energy Industries on the other hand is a solar solutions specialists with core competency in solar thermal applications, and has in the past year implemented the world's largest solar district heating system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the Princes Noura University for Women. Millennium is also active with offices in Jordan, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, with ongoing future expansion plans; as well as references ranging from Marriott and Movenpick Resorts, Nestle, Masdar, and Saudi Aramco.
