Washington, D.C. — October 3, 2011 — CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS™ 2011 today announced its first Mobile Platform Challenge, one of 20 developer events at the conference and expo, taking place at the San Diego Convention Center on October 11-13, 2011. The Mobile Platform Challenge, a partnership between CTIA and CloudMob, brings top Android and iOS app developers to battle and have a chance to win a $25,000 promotional package from CTIA Shows. In fast-paced speed geeking rounds, attendees will vote for their favorites and crown the winner of all apps.
“The Mobile Platform Challenge – and its speed geeking contest – is an exciting addition to the CTIA ENTERPRISE & APPLICATIONS 2011 exhibit floor,” said Robert Mesirow, vice president and show director, CTIA. “Attendees will love this engaging, high-energy event where they get to decide the fate of developers and see the hottest applications in real-time.”
The challenge kicks off at 11:15 a.m. PDT on the show floor at the Exhibit Innovations Stage (Booth #145). The schedule of events:
DAY ONE: OCTOBER 11

· 11:45 a.m. – Mobile Platform Unpanel
· 12:30 p.m. – Android Speed Geeking Round and Voting
· 1:50 p.m. – iOS Speed Geeking Round and Voting
· 3:10 p.m. – Open Speed Geeking Round and Voting
· 4:30 p.m. – Announcement of Finalists for the Ultimate Speed Geeking Round
DAY TWO: OCTOBER 12
· 12:00 p.m. Final Speed Geeking Round and Voting
· 1:00 p.m. Announcement of the Mobile Platform Challenge Winner!
