A BESIX/SOMAGEC joint venture receives a EUR 91 million contract for work on the new Tangiers Mediterranean Port
Cairo, Egypt - 13 April 2005: Orascom Construction Industries (stock symbols: OCIC.CA / ORCI EY / OCICq.L / ORSD LI) announced that BESIX Group in joint venture with Moroccan SOMAGEC have signed two contracts with the Agence Speciale Tanger-Mediterranee with a total value of EUR 91 million to perform construction services on part of the new Tangiers Mediterranean Port. Work is scheduled for completion by August 2006. OCI owns 50% of BESIX Group.
