(openPR) The successful collaboration with BMW M has continued and produced further innovative technology for K2 in 2012-13. To find out more about the K2 “Erlkönig” and its secret mission, see page 2.
If a ski combines the advantages of traditional camber and a variously shaped Rocker (elevated tip), it certainly features the revolutionary K2 BASELINE® technology presented in the new collection of K2 Skis, the pioneer of Rocker technology. Camber provides power, edge hold and control, while Rocker adds extra versatility and agility. Thanks to the BASELINE® construction, K2 skis work perfectly with any terrain, conditions and surface. And that’s why they are a perfect match with BMW M.
Consequently, BMW M and K2 have launched a special 500-piece limited edition of the new highlight of the K2 BackSide Series, the K2 SideShow: the K2 LTD. BMW M Design Edition.
The design of the K2 LTD. BMW M Design Edition is inspired by the BMW M automobiles. Both represent highest performance, uncompromising driving pleasure and a powerful appearance combining sportiness and strength in a truly unique way.

The K2 „Erlkönig“ in a secret mission
Working with BMW M more similarities in terms of performance, sportiness and technical innovation became obvious, resulting in a new K2 ski project for the 2012-2013 winter season. Starting with ISPO 2012, a new carbon construction with an innovative torsion concept paired with technologies like the well-proven K2 MOD construction (for dampening) and Speed Rocker (for agility and performance) will cause a buzz in the high-performance hard-snow ski segment. And maybe somebody will get a glimpse of the K2 “Erlkönig” prototypes on a secret on-snow test missions already this season.
