At the French pavilion, the Paris Regional Development Agency (PRDA) is exhibiting for the first time at CeBIT, the must-attend international trade fair for information technology, telecommunications, software and services. Each year more than 6,500 exhibitors and 500,000 attendees from across the world take part in this event.

PRDA and its partners (the French agency for international investments and the Ile-de-France development agencies) are organizing a far-reaching marketing blitz aimed at foreign investors attending the fair.

The Ile-de-France region is a heavyweight in the European ITC sector. It is home to more than 7,500 companies such as Alcatel, Cap Gemini, and Thalès employing more than 418,000 people. These companies concentrate their investments in the region in R&D centers fostering innovation. It is also home to many highly-regarded engineering schools such as Supelec, Sup Telecom, X Technologies and many more that contribute to its international scientific reputation.
