Über das Unternehmen

Everything began in Cologne, Wilhelm- Mauserstr in 1990. At that time a few guys popularized a style of music called ACID in Cologne and its environment. Nobody ever thought that this style of music (better known as Techno, House, Electro, Progressive, Schranz, Trance etc.) would develop that extremely and would be based that much in the German club scene today. There are names like Nature One, Timewarp, Mayday, Sonne Mond und Sterne and uncountable clubs which occurred out of this scene. The biggest boom was in the nineties, but still today the scene develops more and more. Furthermore, new styles occurred like Schranz, Electro, Minimal. Nevertheless the House music is the one which fanned out most and could assure commercially its place in the German scene.

Warehouse was the only club which underwent, advanced and developed all these generations. Warehouse is a root of this music scene. There would not be such a big club scene without Warehouse; there would be no big events without warehouse.

It is also important to talk about the close contact with guests here, because the Warehouse crew was not only limited to organisation and management, but also to celebration with the guests during an event. Music just connects and the crew is as committed to the music as the faithful clubber. The closer the contact with the people, the better you know what guests expect of their club. Thus it is possible to plan special events or imagine unusual party ideas which motivate people to celebrate cheerfully and to forget everyday life for a moment.

Furthermore the Warehouse crew was engaged in projects which transcend the limits of the club. It also included events in different locations, participations in a fair in the area of music (Popkomm), DJ Booking Agency, bus rides to different raves, concerts, clubwear, an own redord label, the yearly leader in the field “House Connection” (copies: 30.000), and a little free space for spontaneous actions.
The main thought behind these actions is the universal complexity and consolidation of the Techno/House scene. Nobody appreciates if somebody juggles the DJs and acts, copies the party concepts or hypes miscellaneous cities. We should rather pull ourselves together and show the initiative. In this way, Warehouse orientates itself forwards and not backwards.
In the past the club facilitated us and the guests this free space and that is why, the club stands to the fore.
Finally, it is important to mention the personal in the club. We often went to the cinema or went out for dinner. Generally we cared a good interpersonal behaviour.

The main aim, which Warehouse had, was not to be the best, but to be one of the best clubs.

Now after 22 years review, we, Warehouse, are proud that we advanced this scene and music. It freshened and underwent the whole scene.
