Am 27. Juni 2006 findet eine englischsprachige Konferenz zum Thema “Configuraion Management in the Aerospace Industry“ bei Airbus in Hamburg statt. CIMPA, Airbus-Tochter und Beratungsunternehmen für Product Lifecycle Management, und die Gesellschaft für Konfigurationsmanagement veranstalten einen eintägigen Wissensaustausch mit Vorträgen von hochkarätigen Vertretern der Branche.

Configuration Management – best practices today and tomorrow
Configuration Management in the Aerospace Industry has a long and traditional background. Managing customer requirements efficiently and reducing time to market, as well as simultaneously reducing costs, are the current and future challenges for the complex Aerospace world. ICM and GfKM
Das Institute of Configuration Management (ICM) mit Sitz in Phoenix, Arizona, ist der Herausgeber von Configuration Management II (CMII), dem weltweit anerkannten Standardmodell für das Konfigurations- und Änderungsmanagement.
Die GfKM (Gesellschaft für KonfigurationsManagement) mit Sitz in Nürtingen bei Stuttgart bietet seit 1998, als europäischer Vertreter von ICM, CMII-Schulungen in Europa an. Mehr als 5.000 Konfigurationsmanager weltweit wurden bisher nach dem Standard CMII zertifiziert.
