(openPR) AMO GmbH: 10 Gbit/s Exerciser and Analyzer BitSling10®
Aachen, 04.06.03 - AMO GmbH’s Design Competence Center offers a powerful and cost effective solution for evaluation and development of various module and interface standards in the field of 10 Gbit/s data transfer.
BitSling10® combines a measurement system for rudimentary elements such as laser diodes or opto-receiver as well as for different XAUI based optical 10 Gbit/s modules available on the market. Because of the unlimited switching capabilities in the data paths on BitSling10®, the different elements can be tested and verified individually or simultaneously, as well as against each other.
The 64bit cPCI card with up to 4 Gbyte of DDR SDRAM is capable of synchronously reading and writing two continuous 20 GBit/s Data Streams (net). Compared to our competitors you can manually toggle any single bit or sequence in a data stream, e.g. for fault tolerance measurements. The variously supported 10 GBit/s interfaces incorporate the three most popular XAUI based hot pluggable modules XENPAK, XPAK and X2 as well as a 10 GBit/s electrical input and output for direct connection of laser diodes resp. photo detectors. The system also offers a XAUI Front Panel with four differential 3,125 Gbit/s XAUI Input and Output Lanes on SMA connectors with a matched length.
Portable BitSling10® System
To meet their customer’s requirements to their best benefit, the AMO GmbH developed in addition a portable BitSling10® system, which they will present to their customers at the FiberComm exhibition in Munich form 23th - 26th June in hall B1, booth B1.440.
Software
The fully featured Windows 2000 software developed by AMO allows automatic configuration for pre-defined measurement scenarios as well as specific access to all configuration. The remote access software enables worldwide instant support and update service via internet.
In addition to 10 GBit/s measurement systems AMO GmbH also develop ASIC emulation platforms with massive parallel hardware acceleration for functional simulation and evolve measurement systems using the FastScan technique for ultrafast repetitive signals.
