Germany´s Böllhoff Group Selects Intentia
Opportunity Analyzer planning tool sets the scene for implementation of new ERP system
Stockholm, Sweden - November 9th 2005 - Intentia, a global provider of enterprise solutions for the manufacturing, distribution and maintenance industries, will implement its Intentia Application Suite for main parts of the Böllhoff group. The value of the contract amounts to EUR 2.1 million.
With the Europe-wide implementation of a central ERP system, the Böllhoff Group, a leading supplier of fastening, assembly and systems technology, intends to harmonize its business processes and give them more structure and transparency. Parts of Böllhoff in France, Italy and Spain are already running successful implementations of Intentia Application Suite.
The Intentia Application Suite at Böllhoff will include applications for the following areas: sales management, customer relationship management, financial accounting management and controlling, multiunit coordination, product data management, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain execution, and materials and resource planning. It will also include Intentia´s Advanced Production Planner (APP), Demand Planner (DMP), Business Performance Warehouse (BPW), the Workplace portal, and e-Collaborator for exchanging data, as well as Web Services and a warehouse management interface.
In the first step, the Intentia team used Intentia Opportunity Analyzer to record Böllhoff´s corporate strategy for the implementation and achievement of project objectives. Opportunity Analyzer is a planning tool for determining return on investment, and is a component in the Intentia Enterprise Performance Management solution. Opportunity Analyzer helps companies implement the most effective IT strategies to achieve their business goals. Companies are encouraged to focus on internal processes that drive profitability, and to continuously look into how they can be improved in strategic terms. In a further step, Opportunity Analyzer forces management to set time-phased quantifiable goals, which will determine success.
"Opportunity Analyzer has given our management team the necessary quantitative overview of where the big money is among the many opportunities ahead. For the first time, it was made clear and visible how IT projects add value to the organization, and not only costs," comments Böllhoff´s CFO, Dr. Carsten Löffler.
The project launch in Germany is expected to take place in November 2005. The overall scope of the scheduled implementation will include a total of 480 users. Böllhoff has already gone live with successful implementation projects in France, Italy and Spain.
