WoodWing officials say there are currently newspapers in seven countries and four continents using Smart Connection Pro or Enterprise, making them among the fastest-growing editorial systems in the world.

The two versions of Smart Connection — Pro and Enterprise — are the industry’s leading editorial solutions for Adobe® InDesign® and InCopy®. Smart Connection Enterprise recently hit an important milestone, as it marked its 100th installation worldwide.

There are newspaper groups throughout North America, South America, Europe and Africa that have made the switch to Smart Connection Pro and Enterprise.
Recent additions in include newspapers like Kidsweek in the Netherlands and the Mail & Guardian and Die Wereld in South-Africa.
In the United States newspaper groups that are using Smart Connection include companies like the Albuquerque Newspaper Group in New Mexico, Today’s Daily News in San Diego and the Seattle Daily Journal.
There is also a tremendous growth of installs in Mexico, several new companies have signed on in the last few months, including El Mañana in Nuevo Laredo, El Expresso in Hermosillo, Ultima Hora in Leon, La Vanguardia in Saltillo and AM in Leon. In Guatemala, Nuesto Diario of Guatemala City is a Smart Connection newspaper, while La Nación in Santiago, Chile, has also switched to the WoodWing system.
Schut predicted that with the enhancements that have been made to Smart Connection Enterprise, the list of newspapers installing the system will continue to grow.
