Liquid Grey "Grey Matter" release on 21.10.2011

(openPR) After working with several different band projects, e.g. Flowers Of Romance, Brilliant Mistakes (produced by Wayne Hussey), and New Zero God norwegian composer, singer and guitarist Mr.Grey will release his first solo album under the project name LIQUID GREY.

“Grey Matter” is a rock album with influences from goth rock, and 80s wave / post punk which is based on catchy hooklines, pumping rhythms and Mr. Grey’s classic melodic guitar play.

The thirteen tracks of the album are demonstrating the experience of many years as a musician in various bands, which results in an unconstrained song collection without the pressure of creating the next big thing in music business.

Powerful and impulsive Songs like „Red“, „From Dusk To Dawn“ and „Everything That Kills“ could be described as „goth rock for highways“, whereas „Low“ with it’s slow rhythm and flanger guitars moves more into the classic dark “The Cure” category.

The „singing“ goth-guitar play in „Part of Everything“, combined with mystic/dark lyrics and hypnotic drums are best examples of classic goth-rock based on 80s and 90s roots. On some songs even parallels to Johan Endlund’s (Tiamat) project “Lucyfire” are noticeable.

“Grey Matter” is a very well entertaining and diversified guitar based rock album, which exactly hits the core mark of the classic goth rock genre.
