(openPR) eyefortransport´s 3rd Annual Report on European 3PL Industry identifies the main challenges for European 3PLs, as well as the best potential opportunities in the different geographical regions, industry segments and market verticals.
[London, 3rd August 2005]
The entry of global players, one-stop-shop providers, integrators and 4PLs into the logistics market is taking the competition to the next level, and traditional 3PL players are having to introduce more innovative and value-added services in order to retain their slice of a very fragmented pie.
Customers are increasingly demanding more for less, and the survey revealed that a large number of respondents are finding it difficult to maintain profits under price pressures from customers.
eyefortransport´s European 3PL Market Survey drew responses from over two hundred and fifty logistics professionals from 3PLs, freight forwarders, carriers, warehouse operators, shippers and technology providers. The results of the survey have been published in a report which can be downloaded from www.eyefortransport.com/3pl2005/report.shtml
Much of the data gathered in the survey will be discussed and debated at the 3rd eyefortransport European 3PL Summit 2005, which takes place on October 26-27 at the Royal Garden Hotel in London.
