(openPR) Former CEO and founder of Gameforge adds experience in Social Media and Mobile Application to the company.
Hamburg, June 8, 2011 – Beaufort Media, one of the leading on-demand content companies in Europe, has today announced the appointment of Klaas Kersting as the newest member of its Board of Directors. Mr Kersting also invested an unspecified amount of money to become a shareholder of the company.
Klaas Kersting founded the German browser-game giant Gameforge in 2003 and, in his role as CEO, helped it to become one of the biggest F2P MMOG publishers in the world with a staff of over 400 employees and more than €100M in annual revenue. In 2010 he moved to the board of directors of Gameforge and founded Flaregames, a company dedicated to creating exciting and popular games for mobile devices.
“The addition of Klaas Kersting as an adviser adds invaluable experience in the development of new social media and mobile applications. We are delighted to welcome Klaas’ vast knowledge and expertise to our team,” said Beaufort Media CEO Alexandra Dabelstein.
After developing its complex technology early in 2010, Beaufort Media launched its first on-demand content platform under the HELPFUL brand in February this year. Three months later the company announced that they had published their 15,000th article and that they were well on course to reach 100,000 by the end of the year.
“Together with Klaas’ extensive experience, we will integrate the latest social media applications to our on-demand content platforms to further accelerate Beaufort Media’s international growth,” said Christoph Gaschler, the company’s CCO, responsible for new strategic and commercially valuable products.
