Expertin Vibeke Windeløv im Wettbewerb der Berlinale

(openPR) Vibeke Windeløv, Head of Studies des Workshops THE ART OF NEGOTIATING AGREEMENTS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION, ist mit ihrem Film Mammoth im diesjährigen Wettbewerbsprogramm der Berlinale

Potsdam, 5. Februar 2009: THE ART OF NEGOTIATING AGREEMENTS FOR FILM AND TELEVISION ist 2009 der erste Workshop der Reihe ESSENTIAL LEGAL FRAMEWORK veranstaltet vom Potsdamer Erich Pommer Institut. Verhandlungen im weitesten Sinn sind Hauptthema des Workshops vom 29. April bis 3. Mai auf Mallorca. Film- und TV-Produzenten haben fast täglich mit ihnen zu tun. Nicht nur Verträge mit Drehbuchautoren, Schauspielern und Regisseuren, Ko-Produzenten und TV-Sendern, auch Kompromisse, z.B. zwischen den künstlerischen Anforderungen des Regisseurs am Set und ökonomischen Zwängen des Budgets, gehören zum täglichen „Handwerk“. Vibeke Windeløv, Produzentin von Filmen wie Dancer in the Dark und Dogville, ist als Head of Studies maßgeblich an der inhaltlichen Gestaltung des Workshops beteiligt und wird selbst als Expertin während des fünftägigen Workshops für Fragen und Antworten zur Verfügung stehen.

Auch das 2009 erstmals vom Erich Pommer Institut und dem kanadischen Koproduktionsmarkt Strategic Partners veranstaltete Programm TRANS ATLANTIC PARTNERS – International Co-Production Training: Focus Europe and Canada wird von prominenten Experten begleitet: Der kanadische Produzent und Oskar-Gewinner Niv Fichman (Blindness, The Red Violin) wird als Case Study den François Girard Film Silk mit Keira Knightley in der Hauptrolle präsentieren.
Niv Fichman: “Trans Atlantic co-productions are vital to the future of financing films in a very difficult economic environment. It’s my hope that by learning from our experiences in the past, we could streamline existing financing structures, and create new production models for the future.”
