März 2021 ab 10.00 Uhr deutscher Ortszeit zur ersten "Green Cities - Green Industries Conference 2021" unter der Unterüberschrift "Thailand, Europe & ASEAN -
"Eastern Economic Corridor - Future Business in Thailand and ASEAN 2021
Green Bio Waste & Circular Economy & Management" ein. Nachhaltigkeit bei der Entwicklung der Asien Pazifik Region mit Rücksicht auf die "Green Economy" ist ein gewichtiges Thema nicht allein für Thailand und Europa, sondern auch für die ASEAN Region insgesamt, die einen modernen Weg zwischen Tradition und Moderne hin zu einer nachhaltig erfolgreichen Wachstumsregion beschreiten muss, sollen die aktuellen Herausforderungern gemeistert werden. Thailands Hauptstadt Bangkok ist seit dem Beginn der Green Cities - Green Industries Initiative des German Global Trade Forum Berlin aus Anlass der Asien Pazifik Wochen in Berlin (2011) Partnerstadt und hat durch die Unterzeichnung des "Magdeburger Protokolls", der Hainan Initiative ebenso wie die Provinz Phathumtanie immer wieder aktive bei der Stärkung von Städtebeziehungen und Initiativen mitgewirkt, die nicht nur das Thema "Green Economy", sondern die für viele sehr viel wichtigere Frage erörtern, wie gute Ziele für Wirtschaft und Bürger gleichermaßen zumutbar auf der Grundlage der vorhandenen Ressourcen verwirklicht werden können.
Wie sehr dabei Thailand auch das Wohl seiner Nachbarn im Auge hat wird durch die Teilnahme des von Varawut Silpa-archa, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, ASEAN Circular Economy Framework und Aladdin Rillo, Deputy Secretary General for ASEAN Economic Community, ASEAN Secretariat, unterstrichen.
Thailands langjährige Botschafterin in Österreich und Deutschland Nongnuth Phetcharatana,
heute Special Adviser des dem Ministerpräsidenten unterstehenden "Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) Office of Thailand" und Thailands Honorary Trade Advisor Eberhard J. Trempel, laden ein und moderieren die internationale Videokonferenz.
Aus der Einladung: "Herzlich gerne laden wir zur Teilnahme an unserer Vorstellung von Nachhaltigkeit ein, wenn es um die gemeinsam seit Jahren verfolgte Zielsetzung geht, die Green Economy auf verantwortlicher Grundlage mit den vorhandenen Ressourcen zu entwickeln. Europa und Asean, gemeinsam beim Ressourcenschutz und bei der Sicherung unserer Lebensgrundlagen. Der Eastern Economic Corridor wird beispielhaft als Thailands Beitrag für die Welt entwickelt und bietet vielfältige Kooperationsansätze. Mit einer Reihe von international besetzten Konferenzen wollen wir dies begleiten. Diese erste in diesem Jahr ist ein guter Anfang.
Thailand promotes Bio-Circular-Green as a new economic model for inclusive and sustainable growth. The BCG economic model is expanding to regional approach under the newly developed ASEAN Circular Economy Framework. The BCG economic model and the European Green Deal announced by the European Commission envision more linkages between future industries and green technologies and innovation. Likewise, Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor is a national flagship mega-project that provides a major platform for Thai industries and business in moving toward the next level led by technology and innovation. The EEC is also designed to be a prototype area to advance the economy, society, and environment systematically. Also, the EEC Green Plan (2018-2022) places emphasis on circular economy and sustainability and provides action plan in pollution control, new city development, promoting social and environmental responsibility, and effective land use and natural resource management. Various short-run projects relating to Waste-to-Energy, waste management, water management and smart city development are being executed in EEC, its area of which covers 21 special economic and industrial zones in three eastern provinces namely Cholburi, Rayong and Chachoengsao. While it is important to develop and adopt the new technologies in creating revenue and quality of life, there is also a need to determine the proper use of land, and create good and safe living conditions for all.
